So, I am sure many of you wondered: where did Arit disappear to? 😆

Well, here I am to explain, and to re-enter your inboxes with funny, inspiring and empowering stories from my #TechLife!

First off, I am GRATEFUL to you for sticking with me, in spite of my prolonged absence. Several of you reached out via email to check on me, and I love you for that. 💖

Now for the explanation...

2024 was a HUGE year for me, in that I finalized the purchase of my first home! 🏡

The process of buying my home took nearly the entire year (it’s a new construction), so I was navigating that whole process…

… and holding down my goodt engineering job (cos that mortgage is 😮‍💨 💰)…

… and mothering my two incredible children 👦🏾 👧🏾 …

… and being as present as I could to my family & my people 🫂 …

… and maintaining my mental health & wellness 🧘🏽‍♀️ ..

… and … you get the idea! 😅

So some things needed to slide to the wayside, needed to be temporarily decommissioned & deprioritized; my newsletter was one of them. 🫣

I also almost shut down my Tech community - the Arit Developer Circle. 😱

BUT thankfully, I hired 2 competent and passionate staff members last year, who support me in maintaining my brand schedule and tech community activities.

Introducing Joy Akhanolu and Joshua Roland!

Joy is my executive assistant. She handles my tech engagement schedule & emails, and my myriad to-do lists. She has been a literal God-send, keeping me aware, organized and balanced.

Joshua is Community Manager of the Arit Developer Circle. Honestly, he is the main reason that the Circle still exists. 🫢 Joshua keeps the members engaged and inspired. This new year, we have several plans for the Circle and I know he will be instrumental in their execution.

Alright, enough about where I have been. ✋🏾 I will share more in future publications!

What can you, my loyal subscriber, expect from my newsletter moving forward?

Well, I have plans. 🧐

• I will base most of my newsletter content on my professional & personal life. From analyzing past publications, my best-performing newsletters had more personal elements, such as lessons learned, my plans versus eventual outcomes, etc. It is clear that most of you resonate best with my candid and transparent content, so I will lean more into that. 🥰

• I will highlight members of the Arit Developer Circle. These will be short, mini Q&A write-ups to introduce our more ambitious members. My hope is that they can expand their professional network through my newsletter subscribers getting to know & connect with them. 🙏🏾

• I will add more rich content to my newsletters, such as video and pictures. 🎥

• Joy & I will curate & share Tech resources and opportunities that we consider useful. 🫴🏾

• I have learned that my followers & community enjoy my mental health/wholeness content, so I will be including this in my newsletters too. I will probably share via video, because I find it much easier to speak, rather than write, about wellness. 💆🏾‍♀️
